ITINERARY:
- ARRIVE IN ALGONQUIN PARK / PRIVATE ISLAND RETREAT
Arriving mid-day / early afternoon, check in at the Voyageur Quest Outfitting office at Algonquin Park Access Point #1. Meet your Voyageur Quest representative who will conduct your canoe lesson and provide you with information about areas around your cabin and local points of interest. Paddle out to your private island, get settled in, and relax on the deck as the sun sets over the water.
Overnight in the Private Island Cabin. - ALGONQUIN PARK / PRIVATE ISLAND RETREAT
After a gentle start to the day, consult your maps and embark on a day of exploration around the local waterways, such as the shores of lake and the small rivers that feed it, or the open waters of nearby Kawawaymog Lake. Design your day as you see fit!
Overnight in the Private Island Cabin. - ALGONQUIN PARK / PRIVATE ISLAND RETREAT
Today is the perfect day to rise early for an amazing sunrise paddle down the Amable du Fond through the morning mist. Search for moose and beaver lodges and take advantage of spectacular photography opportunities. The remainder of the day is yours to further explore the area, or return to the tranquillity of your island refuge.
Overnight in the Private Island Cabin. - END OF PACKAGE
Enjoy a final morning in your island paradise before paddling over to the Voyageur Quest Outfitting office and checking out. Perhaps end your adventure with a cold beverage on the Broken Paddle Patio.

ACCOMMODATION:
The master bedroom is on the second floor and offers a beautiful walkout deck with chaises and an outdoor dining table. A wood stove heats the cabin. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, BBQ , living room, dining table and storm room, and washroom with hot shower and toilet. The front deck faces west with a small table for perfect sunset dining. The north side of the island is rocky and good for swimming while the south side is a beach with 6 metre dock.
PACKING SUGGESTIONS:
Bring a rain jacket (with hat or hood) and trousers, wool or fleece sweater, long jeans or cotton pants, shorts, cotton T-shirt or shirt with long sleeves, swimsuit, towel, two pairs of shoes – running shoes or lightweight hiking boots, sun hat, personal toiletries, sun lotion, glasses, insect repellent, flashlight and pocket knife. long underwear and mittens are recommended in May, June, September and October. Bring your own alcoholic beverages.
